Last week, Siemens, in collaboration with XR enterprise software provider BILT, leveraged Apple Vision Pro headsets to provide on-site electricians with XR instructional overlays. The partnership also gives BILT a place as the newest member of its Xcelerator ecosystem to scale enterprise XR solutions.
Andreas Matthé, CEO of Electrical Products at Siemens Smart Infrastructure noted that the partnership “is a great example of how we are maximizing digitalization to enable the next generation of electricians.”
Siemans and BILT are developing the 3D Intelligent Instructions solution, which provides visual and immersive training to help people entering the workplace or those looking to learn new skills.
BILT on Vision Pro
BILT’s Vision Pro solution enables frontline workers to collaborate via digital twins using the device’s ultra-high-resolution display, eye tracking, hand tracking, and voice commands to interact with the virtual object.

Nate Henderson, President and CEO of BILTwho explained that the partnership allows Siemens’ frontline professionals to “upskill faster, install with confidence and follow safety guidelines more easily; BILT for Apple Vision Pro allows them to provide tactical and intuitive training that adapts to the needs of a new generation of students. .”
Therefore, the platform allows workers to interact with digital twins, such as accessing animated step-by-step assembly instructions and other asset integration tools.
Andreas Matthé added:

Peter Koerte, Chief Technology Officer, of Siemens noted that “closing the skills gap” and “empowering the next generation of electricians” is a core goal of Siemens.
Siemens notes that it plans to introduce more BILT/Apple Vision Pro services in the future taking into account Siemens’ smart home energy management products.

The BILT partnership also introduces the XR solutions provider to Siemens’ Xcelerator ecosystem and marketplace, an ecosystem that enables companies to leverage various innovative business services.
Koerte also highlighted that partnerships with companies like BILT are “revolutionizing the learning experience. “We are excited to welcome BILT as the newest partner in our Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem, further expanding our transformative workforce offerings,” Koerte added.
Siemens notes that the Xcelerator ecosystem and marketplace help accelerate digital transformation, training, scaling, and business understanding.
