Filming for the second season of Bad Sisters began in Dublin last year. A release date has not yet been announced.
Horgan, who created and also stars in the show, spoke to Extra.ie on the red carpet at the IFTAs in Ireland last night and gave an update on the drama’s long-awaited second season. She revealed: “It’s actually very, very difficult to talk about it because I’m giving the game away.
“There’s a very specific kind of hook. Like I said before, you can’t just kill a man and then expect your life to go on as usual.
“So there are consequences to that and there are just more sisters.”
In addition to Horgan, the Bad Sisters cast includes Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson, Sarah Greene and Daryl McCormack. In 2023, the show led the Irish Emmy nominations.
Horgan was nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Dearbhla Walsh was nominated for Best Directing in a Drama Series. The show made many viewers fall in love with the scenic settings in and around Dublin.
Some of the recognizable locations in Bad Sisters include Dollymount Strand and Howth Head in north Dublin.
