Apple today released iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5, major updates to the iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 operating systems that launched last September. The 17.5 updates arrive more than two months after the release of iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4.
iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 can be downloaded over-the-air on eligible iPhones and iPads by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
In the European Union, iOS 17.5 provides support for the distribution of web-based applications. iPhone users can download apps directly from developers’ websites, without needing to use the App Store.
