Apple‘s “Let Loose” launch event, where the company is expected to announce new iPad Air and iPad Pro models, is just around the corner.
If you’re in the market for a new iPad and can’t wait until the new models come out, here are all the iPads Apple currently sells in India, from the entry-level 9th-generation iPad to the M2-powered 12.9-inch iPad Pro. the most capable and expensive iPad to date.
This is the last of its kind and is the most affordable iPad that Apple currently sells. With a home button and an old-school design, the 9th generation iPad (review) costs Rs 32,900 and is powered by the A13 Bionic processor.
This is intended for those who need a basic iPad for tasks such as attending online classes, video streaming, and web browsing. It is still only compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil.
Apple iPad (10th generation)
This is the latest entry-level iPad (review) that Apple sells. It looks like an iPad Air with some compromises. Available for Rs 39,900, this device is based on the A14 Bionic chip and offers a bezel-less design and a power button with an integrated Touch ID sensor. It is also the cheapest iPad with a USB-C port and supports faster data transfer compared to the 9th-generation iPad. This device also supports Apple Pencil for taking notes and sketching. It also has a 12 MP horizontal selfie camera, making it a great device for video conferencing.
Apple iPad mini
The iPad mini (review) is like a miniature iPad Air but with an A15 Bionic chip.
This iPad also has a modern design with a USB-C port and comes with an 8.3-inch 60Hz refresh rate display with a P3 color gamut.
It also comes with an anti-reflective coating and starts at Rs 49,900. If you’re looking for a compact iPad that can record 4K video, offers the latest iPadOS experience, and is also easy to carry, then the iPad mini is the one to consider.
Apple iPad Air
The Apple iPad Air (review) is for those who need a really powerful iPad that doesn’t cost a lot.
Powered by the M1 chip, which also powers MacBooks, this iPad with a 10.9-inch screen sells for 59,900 and comes in several colors. This is a great iPad for playing high-fidelity games and rendering videos. It can do almost anything an iPad Pro can do without any problems.
Apple iPad Pro
Apple offers the iPad Pro in two sizes (11 inches and 12.9 inches), the larger tablet has a mini-LED display, and the latest iPad Pro models are equipped with the M2 chip, making them as powerful as most laptops.
The 11-inch iPad Pro currently costs Rs 81,990, while the 12.9-inch model is priced at Rs 1,12,900. These are next-generation iPads, which can easily replace a laptop, especially when combined with accessories like Magic Keyboard. Apart from that, they also have a dual camera system on the rear along with a LiDAR sensor.
