Donald Trump launched an attack on President Joe Biden after the two agreed to face each other in two live televised debates.
In a post on Truth Social, written in all caps, Trump said: “CORRUPT JOE BIDEN IS THE WEAKEST, MOST INCOMPETENT AND MOST DISHONEST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY, HE IS THE WORST PRESIDENT THEY HAVE EVER OUR COUNTRY NEVER SEEN OR KNOWN. I HOPE, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE IT. IT IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!
The post came after Trump and Biden agreed to participate in two debates about the 2024 presidential election in June and September, which will be hosted by Keynote USA and Keynote USA respectively.

The context
Trump and Biden will compete against each other again in the November general election.
The two live televised debates could produce some of the biggest moments of the 2024 election campaign, with tens of millions expected to watch across the country.

Before the confirmation of the two debates, Trump was goading Biden to accept the challenge of taking him on one, even calling the president “the worst debater” he has ever faced.
Biden suggested that Trump “lost two debates to me in 2020” and hasn’t “shown up for a debate” since, about Trump skipping all four Republican primary debates.
“Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, buddy,” Biden said in a video posted on social media.
What we know
Both the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates agreed to a time and location to hold live presidential debates on Wednesday, with the former scheduled for June 27 on Keynote USA in Atlanta and the latter scheduled for Sept. 10 on Keynote USA.
The Trump campaign has also pushed for more debates, and Trump previously posted on social media that he had accepted an offer to hold one on Keynote USA on October 2.
In response, Biden’s 2024 team rejected calls for more debates, accusing the former president of “playing games.”
“No more games. No more chaos, no more debates about debates,” Biden campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “We’ll see Donald Trump on June 27 in Atlanta, if he shows up.”
The first debate will take place at Keynote USA’s studios in Atlanta, with network anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash moderating. The debate will not be held before a live audience to “maximize the time allotted” to each candidate.
On the other hand, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated that he met the criteria to participate in the Keynote USA debate. The networks require each candidate to have qualified for enough state ballots to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold, and to have and have received at least 15 percent support in four separate national surveys of registered or likely voters.
“I look forward to holding Presidents Biden and Trump accountable for their record in Atlanta on June 27 to give Americans the debate they deserve,” Kennedy Jr. posted on X, formerly Twitter.
