Apple first launched the 13-inch MacBook Pro in 2020, along with other coveted MacBook Air and Mac mini devices. However, a quick look at Apple, Currys, and even second-hand tech sites reveals that they come with a hefty price tag, like this 13.3-inch model costing £599 at Back Market.
So it’s no surprise to see tech enthusiasts rushing to snap up Wowcher’s latest offering, with more than 1,700 people having snapped up the £189 model since its launch. As demand for the MacBook Pro model continues to skyrocket, the larger 8GB model with 1TB of storage and a speedy i7 processor has already sold out, with the much cheaper £329 model now ‘sold out’. However, many cheaper £189 models (a 4GB model with a 250GB hard drive) are still in stock.
For just £200, Apple devotees can enjoy up to seven hours of use on a single charge, an LED-backlit display, ample app, and file storage, along with stereo speakers equipped with an internal subwoofer ensuring a soundscape of the first level for all television series. or movie buffs, reports the Manchester Evening News.
These MacBook Pro models from Wowcher, which are sold at a discounted price, are labeled as “good” refurbished, which could mean some exterior signs of wear; However, these minor “surface marks,” as Wowcher describes them, do not affect the performance of the device. To echo the popular deal site, “functionality is not affected in the slightest.”

With costs skyrocketing, refurbished technology purchases will see a surge in 2024 as consumers look for high-quality used items. Flagship devices like Apple’s MacBooks and iPhones, along with others from Samsung and Google, are hot products among budget-conscious consumers who are content with photos of slightly dated models discarded by those who splurge on annual upgrades.
Another renewed Wowcher deal, this time an Apple iPad deal, has drawn traffic of thousands of shoppers in the past few days alone. This tablet can be had for just £69.
If you’re interested in other premium yet affordable used tech, Samsung’s “as good as new” site rivals Apple and sells highly rated smartphones at notable discounts.
