Today we’re hitting the top with a notable price reduction on the latest Mac mini M2 Pro. While we’ve seen the normally $1299 machine drop to $1199 a few times, Amazon is offering a new on-page coupon that brings the total down to $1199. $1,149.99 with shipping includedThat’s nearly $150 off the current price, and it’s the most powerful Mac mini you can buy from Apple right now (I wish I’d bought this one instead of the entry-level one, to be honest). While B&H typically has great deals on non-display Macs, it’s currently still full price on this configuration. Today’s deal is on par with the lowest price we’ve ever tracked on this one, and that includes those fleeting Costco members-only deals. Seeing any of the current-generation Mac mini models over $100 off is notable, and this deal takes it way beyond that.
This model was announced in January of last year, and remains the high-end Mac mini in Apple’s lineup. Outside of the entry-level M2 models without the Pro chip, it’s the most affordable non-display Mac you can buy — people who don’t need the 16GB of RAM and M2 Pro chip can still get their hands on entry-level models starting at $100. $400which is basically the regular price for these considering how often they are on sale.
It’s quite possible we’ll see a new model debut sometime in the next 4-8 months, but you can bet it will be significantly more expensive than this.
In addition to the M2 Pro chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD, it features a 10-core CPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. As for connectivity, you’ll also find four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a pair of USB-A ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, and a headphone jack.
While it may have an M2 chip, that’s more than enough power for just about anyone except hardcore professionals and people running serious Final Cut sessions and the like. It’s also worth noting that aside from the upgraded M2 Mac minis, with today’s deal, the featured deal here is the most affordable current-generation Mac with 16GB of RAM right now – it’ll set you back at least $199.99. $1,350 to get a MacBook Air M3 with that much memory.
