Amazon has launched its Prime Day sale today which will last for just two days (July 16 and 17), so you’ll have to be quick if you want to get a bargain.
The best sale deals we’ve seen so far come courtesy of Apple‘s popular Airpods. With the popularity of Apple’s in-ear wireless earbuds and the significant discounts on offer, it’s certainly a good deal worth snapping up while stocks last.
US and UK readers can save between 22% and a whopping 47% across the range.

Since Prime Day only lasts two days, we can’t be sure how long these prices will hold up, but while they’re available, these are the lowest prices Amazon has ever listed for Apple’s AirPods.
In detail: Apple AirPods deals on Amazon Prime Day
The Apple Airpods Pro 2 (or 2nd generation) wireless earbuds have been around since 2022 and offer superior high-end performance over standard AirPods. In addition to an earbud design that blocks out more ambient noise, the Pro 2 model also features active noise cancellation (ANC).
AirPods Pro 2 charging is handled by USB-C, meaning if you have an iPhone 15 you only need to carry one cable to charge both your phone and AirPods, while AirPods 2 and 3 use the older Lightning connector.
While the AirPods Pro 2 allow users to block out the world around them with ANC, one thing I particularly like about this model is the ability to select a “Transparency” mode. In this mode, the earbuds actively let in the noise around you, which can be beneficial if you like to use headphones while driving or generally when you want to still hear what’s around you.
Some of the more pro features that I love are Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness, these features automatically reduce the volume of any media that is playing so you can chat without having to take off your headphones.
For those who are constantly on the go, the AirPods Pro 2 can last around six hours on a single charge, although this time drops to 4.5 if you use it for calls, and the case offers around 30 hours of additional battery life.
AirPods 2 deals on Prime Day
The second generation of Apple’s AirPods wireless earbuds was released in March 2019, and even though they’re already five years old, they still represent a great option for those looking for a truly wireless pair of earphones.
Charging the AirPods is handled by the storage case which uses the now somewhat outdated Lightning cable, though for most users this probably won’t be a deal breaker.
For those looking for AirPods on a budget, the AirPods 2 are the brand’s most affordable offering, and while they lack the functionality of their more expensive siblings, the AirPods 2 are still a decent option in the wireless earbuds market.
The design of the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds isn’t for everyone’s taste or ear shape, and if you don’t particularly mind not having active noise cancellation, the standard AirPods 2 might be fine for you. The actual fit of the earbuds is very similar to the old wired earbuds that used to come with iPods and iPhones of yesteryear.
They also have the Find option enabled, which allows you to find them when you inevitably leave them somewhere and then completely forget where that place was.
AirPods 3 deals on Prime Day
Apple’s latest entry-level in-ear headphone model, due to hit the market in 2021, has a similar profile to the AirPods 2 but includes a host of additional features. The main novelty is what Apple calls spatial audio, which mimics a surround sound experience and creates the effect of 360-degree sound.
The third generation of AirPods offers the option to choose between traditional Lightning charging or MagSafe wireless charging, depending on your preference. The advantage of the MagSafe option is that it supports both Lightning and wireless charging, although this does come at a slight price increase.
Something to keep in mind if you like to use your earbuds while working out is that the AirPods 3 only have an IPX4 rating. This means they can withstand splashes of water, but they might not be the best fit for a rainy day or a sweaty day in the summer.
