A recent study conducted by Preplyan online tutoring platform, revealed that Miami has been crowned the rudest city in the United States, beating out 46 other metropolitan areas tested.
The study surveyed Miami residents about the frequency and type of rude behavior they witness on a daily basis. The Sun City has a score of 9.88 and stands out for the prevalence of behaviors considered socially unacceptable.

Commonly reported behaviors include a lack of self-awareness, such as speaking on a speakerphone in shared spaces, and rudeness toward service staff.
Additionally, Miamians are often accused of not respecting personal space, being loud in public, not letting other vehicles merge in front of them while driving, and not showing kindness to strangers.
Residents in particular identify downtown Miami and the Brickell area as the places where these behaviors are most noticeable.
Ninety percent of respondents believe that people living in these areas are less friendly compared to those living in Hialeah or Miami Lakes. In addition, 54 percent believe that Miami natives are ruder than newcomers to the city.
This study puts Miami ahead of other cities such as Philadelphia, Tampa and Louisville in the ranking of rudeness. In contrast, the cities of Omaha, Minneapolis and San Diego were recognized for having the most polite residents in the entire country.
The research also highlights that while some behaviours may be considered normal by locals, they are seen as rude by visitors.
This phenomenon highlights how cultural differences can influence perceptions of behavior in different parts of the United States.
