This recent study in the UK was carried out on two large farms, each with 264,000 birds, where different dosing regimes of CalPid D+ were tested. The results obtained not only corroborate the efficacy of the product, but also reveal substantial improvements in several key parameters:
- Reduction in Mortality: A decrease of up to 33% in total mortality was observed in birds supplemented with CalPid D+ compared to control groups.
- Better Paw Health: Discards due to leg problems were significantly reduced, with a decrease of 61%.
- Fewer Rejections in Processing: On-farm rejections related to skeletal problems also showed a notable reduction, which translates into less losses during processing.
- Increase in economic return: 11% more compared to ships that did not receive CalPid D+.
