In the released sequence, the card-carrying mutant is seen walking among the remains of bodies in the Void, the site of Fox’s characters’ final stand. In the final seconds, his glowing eyes turn to the camera and he flashes a smile before a Doctor Strange portal is heard (and seen slightly reflected in his eyes) opening.
During the film, Wade, along with Logan (Hugh Jackman), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), Blade (Wesley Snipes) and X-23 (Dafne Keen)join forces to confront the villain Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) in the scavenger hunt also seen in the Loki series. He then deflected the conversation by adding the following: “You never know, I literally might not be in another Marvel movie ever again, and I wouldn’t be surprised because I’ve had it in my hands before, and it’s gone. I always take it with a grain of salt, but I hope Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, allows me to participate”.
