A fight on a New York subway platform turned tragic when a 20-year-old man fell onto the tracks and was hit by a train yesterday at a station in Queens.
The incident remains under investigation. It is believed the victim and an 18-year-old teenager got into a confrontation inside the 74th St.-Roosevelt Ave. station in Jackson Heights and the largest of them fell onto the tracks around 11 a.m. Monday, the New York police said.
The injured man died on the spot after being hit by a train on the F line bound for JamaicaHis name was not immediately released, he said. Daily News.
The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. No charges were immediately filed. The accident paralyzed subway service in Queens, causing long delays until the afternoon on lines E, F, M and R.
