Announcing the best-selling books and audiobooks on its platform for 2023, Apple Books also launched a new in-app feature, Year in Review, that allows users to gain insight into their reading and listening habits throughout the year.
In the style of Spotify’s popular Spotify Wrapped feature, Apple Books’ Year in Review features highlights and data from users’ years of reading, including total time spent reading, longest book read or audiobook listened to, and its most read author and genre. .
Users can also evaluate whether they met their reading goals throughout the year, including the total number of days read and their longest reading streak.
Year in Review results can be shared with other users, showing total books and total minutes spent reading along with an attached grid of book covers.
Apple Books has also announced its best-selling titles for 2023, organized by genre (fiction and nonfiction) and medium (books and audiobooks). They are the following:
